We are seeking a skilled Admissions Advisor to join our Enrollment and Integrated Marketing organization at Texas State Technical College (TSTC).

Job Summary

The Admissions Advisor will contribute significantly to the mission of placing Texans into high-paying jobs by executing internal and external activities to attract applicants and support them through the admissions process.

This role will serve as a key contributor with some supervision, reporting directly to the Team Lead of Admissions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Core Values Demonstration:

    Embody TSTC Core Values (Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity) when interacting with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and the community.

  2. Advisory Role:

    1. Assist prospective and new applicants in identifying programs aligning with their career goals.
    2. Guide students through the admissions process, ensuring all application requirements are met.
    3. Assist students in determining methods of financing, including assistance with completion of the FAFSA.
  3. Student Enrollment Growth:

    1. Manage a student applicant caseload, providing personalized advisement.
    2. Answer questions, troubleshoot needs related to the admissions process, and effectively guide prospective students.
  4. Collaboration Across Departments:

    1. Collaborate with various TSTC departments, including Veteran Services, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, Student Operations, and Student Services and Enrollment.
    2. Support applicants' admissions experience, set up campus tours, and coordinate efforts to enhance understanding of TSTC's product line.
  5. Compliance and Record Management:

    1. Stay updated on FAFSA, FERPA, and compliance practices for records management.

Requirements

This position requires an Associate's Degree, with exceptional background may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Prior experience as an Enrollment Coach or similar one stop enrollment center, as well as 1-3 years experience in consultative sales or higher education, particularly in recruiting, admissions, records, financial aid, or related fields, is preferred.
