Family Medicine Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Family Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team in Visalia, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional who is passionate about community health and family medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct annual health assessments, including evaluations of past medical history, review of systems, medication reconciliation, vital signs, and comprehensive physical exams
  • Perform evidence-based practice screenings, including point-of-care testing (as appropriate)
  • Identify diagnoses to be used in care management and active medical management in the furtherance of treatment
  • Formulate a list of current and past medical conditions using clinical knowledge and judgment and the findings of the assessment
  • Communicate findings in the assessment to inform patients' primary care providers of potential gaps in care
  • Identify urgent and emergent situations and intervene appropriately
  • Educate patients on topics such as disease process, medication, and compliance
Qualifications
  • Certified California Family Nurse Practitioner License
  • DEA Certificate
  • BLS or ACLS certification
  • Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program
  • National certification in primary care specialty
  • Qualified to practice by certification in the State of California
