UPMC Somerset is seeking an Audiologist to work in the ENT Johnstown office. This role will involve performing clinical tests of hearing and interpreting results to contribute to medical diagnoses. The Audiologist will work closely with the Office Coordinator and provide rehabilitative services, including the use of hearing aids and assistive listening technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Performing Clinical Tests:
- Conduct hearing tests to assess hearing abilities and contribute to medical diagnoses.
- Interpret test results and counsel patients on the implications of the findings.
Rehabilitative Services:
- Provide hearing aid services, including selection, evaluation, and counseling.
- Offer assistive listening technology to patients.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain test equipment and report any issues to the Senior Audiologist or Director.
- Contribute to clinical research projects as requested by the Director.
Education and Licensure:
- Master's degree or AUD (clinical doctorate) in Audiology.
- Audiology State License in the practicing state.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Audiology State License in the practicing state.
- Licensed Clinical Audiologist.
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal.
- Act 33 with renewal.
- Act 34 with renewal.
- Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
