Job Overview

SWJ TECHNOLOGY, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the development, delivery, and administration of engineering and facility maintenance technical development programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to execute training needs analysis and create gap closure plans that support business strategies.
  • Design and develop engineering training material, including learning objectives, presentations, exercises, assessments, evaluations, and documentation.
  • Assist the facility department with managing key maintenance indicators, such as budget, downtime, manpower, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and computerized system.
  • Create specifications and drawings for new equipment or parts using various CAD software.
  • Execute the facility department's action plan to achieve the yearly operation plan.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or related field, along with progressive experience in the maintenance or facilities field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Demonstrated ability of building relationships, credibility, and partnering with business leaders and peers.
  • Strong project and time management skills: Set and maintain priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Lead multiple programs simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge and experience with PLC programming (preferably A/B or Siemens).
  • Experience with low and high voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.
