We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automated Gate Technician to join our team at ECA Gate & Lock. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining access control and automated gate systems for our residential and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair access control and automated gate systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough inspections and accurate diagnoses of system problems, presenting customers with options for repair or replacement.
- Use our software to take notes, generate quotes, and produce invoices, ensuring efficient and accurate administrative tasks.
- Participate in all workplace functions, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate measurements and locations for openings on larger jobs, guaranteeing seamless installation and repair processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide top-notch service to customers.
- Strong math skills and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to use measuring tapes and other tools.
- Great communication, listening, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
- Working knowledge of electrical wiring and connections, with the ability to read electrical layouts and schematics.
- 4+ years of experience in the garage door/automatic gate/access control industry or related service industries.
- Strong electronics background in troubleshooting, with the ability to learn and follow standard work practices and troubleshooting procedures.
- Valid Georgia driver's license, with a clean DMV record and no DUI convictions.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work with limited or no supervision.
- Able to read blueprints and electrical schematics, with a mechanical aptitude and background in electronics and wiring.
- Able to perform overtime and weekend rotation service call work, with a strong work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Pass a physical and drug screen, with a clean background and excellent professional references.
