Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time Physical Therapist specializing in Early Intervention, working 40 hours per week. This role is crucial in supporting families of infants and toddlers with disabilities, ensuring that each child can develop optimally and engage meaningfully within their family and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with families to support the developmental needs of infants and toddlers, fostering their growth and participation.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to collect, analyze, and report on information from various sources to create tailored evaluations and assessments.
  • Facilitate access to community resources based on assessment outcomes.
  • Develop Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) that outline specific family supports, strategies, and services aimed at achieving developmental goals.
  • Maintain open communication with the Early Intervention team, medical professionals, and community contacts.
  • Provide coaching to caregivers, equipping them with strategies to integrate developmental practices into daily routines.
  • Conduct comprehensive screenings, evaluations, and interventions focusing on mobility, positioning, and motor development.
  • Design and implement adaptations to the environment and create assistive devices to promote functional skill acquisition.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to address movement dysfunction and related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel to appointments.
  • CPR and first aid certifications are required or must be obtained.
