About the Opportunity

Morningside House Senior Living in Laurel, MD seeks a seasoned Memory Care Program Director to join our leadership team.

Job Summary

This key role is responsible for overseeing all dementia care programming, ensuring excellence in resident care and programming. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, be able to supervise and train staff, and maintain high resident and family satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day functions of the health and wellness department, including resident care and personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Policies and Procedures (P&P), Morningside House Standards, regulatory practices, and state and federal regulations for assisted living facilities.
  • Supervise health and wellness staff, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, new staff orientation, continued training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, disciplining, and discharging when necessary.
  • Design and implement stimulating and fulfilling monthly Life Enhancement Programming Calendars for Stepping Stones and Memory Lane residents.
  • Collaborate with related departments to plan and schedule special events for Stepping Stones and Memory Lane residents.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory/management experience in long-term care or assisted living environments.
  • Certified Dementia Practitioner certification is preferred.

$73,000 - $83,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
