Speech-Language Pathologist for Schools

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in the Fresno, CA area for the upcoming school year. This position involves providing speech and language therapy services to students in school settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students to identify their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Intervention and Therapy: Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective communication strategies and support plans.
  • IEP Development: Participate in the development, implementation, and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, treatment plans, and other required documentation.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff and parents on speech and language development and intervention strategies.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements:
  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.
  • Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
