Logistics and Inventory Specialist

A member of our Logistics and Inventory team will be responsible for organizing and categorizing shipments, preparing pallets for storage in our refrigeration units, and efficiently loading trucks using forklifts and other machinery to ensure timely delivery of products to clients.
This position requires commitment for 8-10 hours daily, including mandatory overtime and weekend shifts. The standard working hours for this role are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.92 for the first shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments, confirm receipt, and input data into our inventory system while ensuring items are delivered to the appropriate locations.
- Utilize forklifts and walkie riders to transport materials.
- Engage in physically demanding tasks in cold environments, requiring attention to detail, physical strength, endurance, and excellent hand-eye coordination, all while prioritizing safety.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by maintaining positive interactions with colleagues, supervisors, and management.

Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Experience with inventory management practices is strongly preferred.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and stack boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and exert force as necessary.
- Ability to work in cold and freezing conditions.
- Proficient in safely operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Willingness to learn the use of barcode scanners and handheld devices.
- Unload shipments using forklift and walkie rider equipment.
- Work while adhering to all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions, including company policies and procedures.
- Recognize and address safety risks and report any shipping issues to supervisors or leads.
- Availability to work all scheduled hours, including weekends, with potential mandatory overtime based on production requirements.
