Job Overview:


Under the close guidance of the Lead and/or Production Supervisor, this role involves performing straightforward and repetitive tasks, which include both magnetic and electro-mechanical assembly work. Responsibilities range from simple to semi-complex tasks, following work order instructions, engineering schematics, and manufacturing process guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

NOTE:

Depending on the production demands at the time of hiring, this position may necessitate soldering skills to military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001 alongside mechanical/assembly skills, or may require solely mechanical/assembly skills. This will be determined by the Manager/Supervisor based on operational needs.


  • Assemble electro-mechanical components and execute inner chassis wiring connections utilizing various tools.
  • Construct magnetic assemblies through all phases of the process, from core and coil assembly to final assembly.
  • Fabricate wooden crates/pallets as required.
  • Conduct simple to semi-complex cable assembly per shop order instructions and engineering schematics.
  • Possess a basic understanding of standard hardware installation sequences.
  • Ability to interpret hardware descriptions on Engineering BOM and accurately identify hardware characteristics.
  • Communicate issues, concerns, and/or inquiries to supervisors/managers and/or support teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Inspection).
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and regulations.
  • Ensure accuracy in time tracking for tasks performed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
  • Capable of passing a soldering test and obtaining ANSI-J-STD-001 certification as required.
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending both written and verbal instructions in English.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 4-6 years of experience in related magnetic and/or electromechanical assembly training, OR
  • 2 years of postsecondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in assembly blueprint interpretation.
  • Familiarity with hardware installation requirements.
