Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at 5 Star Recruitment. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for conducting color flow echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and other non-invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct color flow Doppler echos following established protocols.
  • Conduct stress echos according to established protocols.
  • Assist cardiologists in transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Submit echocardiograms at the highest quality possible, well within the appropriate time span.
  • Identify and conduct echos without delegation.
  • Identify and conduct other non-invasive testing without delegation.
  • Be proficient in the use of all other medical equipment, such as EKG and EEG machines.
  • Be proficient in the use of office equipment, such as copy machines, fax machines, and computers.
  • Recognize and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times and follow infection control guidelines.
  • Perform routine office tasks, such as answering phones, checking in patients, obtaining previous reports/films, and other related duties as needed.
  • Participate in the performance improvement program.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work and communicate with all members of the practice team.
  • Conduct other non-invasive procedures.
  • Recognize abnormal echo findings and communicate any life-threatening situations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Be able to interact with neonates through the geriatric population.
  • Coverage rotation to other outpatient offsites.
  • Duties and hours may change according to the needs of the offsite practices.
  • May be required to work holidays, overtime, and/or day, evening, and overnight shift coverage to help maintain adequate and safe coverage for the outpatient facility.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Requirements

We require a graduate from an accredited cardiovascular ultrasound program. Registered cardiac ultrasound technologist preferred or ARDMS or CCI. Two years experience conducting echocardiograms. Experience in other non-invasive procedures. Successful completion of orientation program according to department guidelines.
