Position Overview:

Soliant Education is in search of committed and passionate Educational Support Specialists to become part of our team in the Waldoboro area. We are looking to fill 10 positions for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting K-8 classrooms, providing individualized assistance to students or helping in general classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct assistance to students, including those with special needs, in both one-on-one and group settings.
  • Support educators in executing instructional plans and adapting activities as necessary.
  • Track and document students' progress and behavior.
  • Contribute to classroom management and foster a positive educational atmosphere.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to meet students' needs and develop effective educational strategies.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as grading and organizing educational materials.
  • Adhere to all district policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Ed Tech I, II, or III Certification.
  • Preferred experience working with K-8 students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Exhibit patience, empathy, and a sincere commitment to student success.
