Adjunct Professor of Avionics

Vaughn College of Aeronautics is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor to teach avionics and electronics courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, electronics, and avionics, with experience in teaching and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver lectures and lab exercises on avionics and electronics topics
- Develop and improve course materials and lab exercises to maintain currency with technological trends
- Assess student learning outcomes and prepare course assessment reports
- Collaborate with program coordinators to develop curriculum and training aids
- Interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff
- Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of AC and DC electronics, solid-state electronics, digital electronics, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Federal Communication Commission - GROL License
- ASTM NCATT AET Certification
- FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
This position is located in an office environment. The ideal candidate will be able to sit, stand, and navigate within the office area.
CompensationThe compensation rate for this position is $900 per lecture hour ($925 per lecture hour if holding a PhD) and $625 per lab hour.
