Surgical Prep and Recovery Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in Surgical Prep and Recovery at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Support clinical staff at the unit level by performing clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination tasks.
- Perform various nursing care services and related non-professional services necessary in caring for patients under the direction and supervision of licensed nurses.
- Ensure the accuracy of documenting services and supplies provided to patients, promoting revenue management.
- Provide direct high-quality service to Licensed Independent Practitioners to assist in patient care activities.
- Facilitate high-quality customer service, communicating clearly with patients and families.
- Remove non-controlled medications from delivery points and hand them directly to RNs or place them in secure locations.
- Act as a Unit Clerk on occasion, preparing, compiling, and maintaining patient medical records, transcribing physicians' orders accurately, processing tests and procedures, and notifying physicians of admissions or consultations.
- Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho or maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire.
- Six months of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric).
