The Retail Custodian (1) is a key member of the CIEDA team, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our dining and food service facilities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the interior and exterior areas of the facilities are clean and well-maintained, including floors, restrooms, showers, and public areas.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to meet the daily needs of the store.
- Customer Service: Provide a customer-friendly environment by greeting and acknowledging every customer.
- Reporting and Communication: Report directly to the General Manager and communicate regularly with management to ensure seamless operations.
- Special Projects: Assist with special projects and events as needed, including arranging furniture and equipment for promotions.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years of verifiable related employment experience or a combination of education and experience required.
- Skills: Well-organized, reliable, and responsible individual with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow oral and written instructions.
- Physical Demands: Ability to routinely walk up and down stairs, climb ladders, stand, bend, and carry items weighing 50-80 pounds.
- Availability: Willingness to work odd and irregular hours, including outside in inclement weather.
- Certifications: Must be certified in all positional requirements and pass an interview to be eligible for promotion to Retail Custodian (2).
