As a key member of our legal department, you will provide critical support to our General Counsel and other attorneys in providing legal advice and services to the hospital and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal review, analysis, and advice on hospital policies, procedures, and decisions, with a focus on compliance with federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Build creative, practical, and effective solutions to issues throughout the hospital.
  • Review, negotiate, and assist in the development of hospital contracts with physicians and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide advice and support to hospital staff members on matters related to legal compliance and risk management.
  • Support the Nationwide Children's Hospital Integrity and Compliance Program in reviewing and developing processes and procedures.
  • Complete projects as assigned by the Deputy General Counsel and other attorneys.
  • Participate in hospital committees and attend annual hospital and departmental training sessions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
  • 4-6 years of experience in the practice of law, with a focus on healthcare law.

Working Conditions:

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires sitting, talking, and walking, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 20 pounds.
