POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Counseling Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a treatment caseload within Hall County's mental health initiatives. This role entails collaborating with treatment personnel to provide essential counseling services to individuals facing substance use challenges or mental health disorders. The coordinator will engage in both group and individual therapy sessions, maintain accurate records, and monitor the progress of treatment plans under the guidance of the program director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct group therapy sessions and offer personalized counseling
  • Implement evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of counseling theories related to mental health and substance use
  • Deliver psycho-educational programs across various topics
  • Design and execute therapeutic activities tailored to client needs

Maintain comprehensive caseload documentation, including treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

Provide tailored treatment recommendations based on individual assessments.

Support data collection efforts and contribute to research aimed at enhancing treatment efficacy.

Facilitate initial assessments and program introductions for new clients.

Participate in review meetings and maintain accurate records as required.

Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive client information.

Engage in mandatory training sessions and ensure ongoing licensure and accreditation.
