Role Overview

The District Parts & Service Manager acts as the key link between Hyundai Motor America and our dealership partners. This role focuses on enhancing dealer performance in vehicle sales, customer loyalty, and profitability. The manager will communicate, implement, and support dealers through various programs, policies, and procedures aimed at fostering well-managed and profitable parts and service departments. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess dealer operations, pinpoint areas for improvement, and recommend actionable solutions to uphold the Hyundai brand image while boosting dealer profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain regular communication with dealers to convey, implement, and oversee Hyundai Motor America programs and policies.
  • Monitor dealer performance and provide guidance on adherence to policies in areas such as Parts Sales, Inventory Control, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with dealers to ensure progress towards achieving set objectives.
  • Offer technical support to verify vehicle issues and warranty repair processes.
  • Deliver written feedback to Hyundai Motor America through detailed reports.
  • Evaluate dealer performance in relation to the Hyundai dealer agreement.
  • Advise on operational enhancements to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Ensure dealer participation in training sessions.
Continued Responsibilities
  • Facilitate processes through dealers that enhance customer satisfaction and resolve complaints.
  • Engage with customers to address concerns as necessary.
  • Drive Parts & Accessory Sales within the assigned district.
  • Manage Hyundai Goodwill funds to elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Represent Hyundai Motor America in relevant legal matters and assist in case development.
  • Undertake special projects and assignments as required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively is essential.
Authority
  • Identify deficiencies in Parts and Service departments and propose corrective actions.
  • Analyze technical issues and authorize repairs in accordance with Hyundai policies.
  • Authorize discretionary spending for goodwill-related parts expenses.
  • Assess customer disputes and approve financial assistance to resolve issues amicably.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree is a plus.
Experience
  • Five to seven years of experience, including at least three years in wholesale automotive.
  • Retail experience is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of automotive dealership operations.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Customer service-oriented with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Sound business and financial acumen.
