Ideal Candidate: The successful applicant will possess expertise in concrete finishing, concrete carpentry, and formwork construction, while demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic. All driving responsibilities will be local within the designated service areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe primary role involves the safe transportation of heavy machinery, raw materials, and hazardous materials to and from job sites. Responsibilities include:
- Operating vehicles or mechanized equipment to transport heavy loads between job sites.
- Adhering to all OSHA and TxDOT regulations.
- Conducting thorough inspections of equipment and loads to identify any damages or defects.
- Monitoring driving conditions and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Reviewing load-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintaining constant communication with site supervisors to coordinate timely pickups and deliveries.
- Ensuring that all mechanical and safety equipment in vehicles is functioning properly.
- Securing loads and obtaining necessary receipts or signatures upon delivery.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong understanding of the principles and methods for transporting heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure safety and security.
- Experience in customer service and a commitment to meeting quality standards.
- A valid CDL/Hazmat certification and a current medical card.
- A positive attitude and a strong commitment to safety.
The role requires:
- Compliance with all safety regulations and TxDOT requirements.
- The ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
- Physical stamina to bend, stoop, climb, and remain seated for extended periods.
- Capability to navigate rough and uneven surfaces at construction sites.
Note: This position is evergreen, meaning it will remain open continuously. Applications will be kept active for four months from the date of submission.
