About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Ascend Rehab Services Inc. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing therapy services to children in the Palo Alto area in a school setting.

Our company offers a multidisciplinary approach to therapy, providing Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy to children in various settings, including home-based, outpatient clinics, and our inclusion preschools.

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address clients' specific needs
  • Providing therapy sessions to improve clients' speech and language skills
  • Monitoring clients' progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans
  • Providing guidance and support to clients' families and caregivers

Requirements for the role include:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • A valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Previous experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Must have or be eligible for a CA State SLP License
