Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Allied Health Senior Supervisor to lead our Hearing Technologies Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the program, including personnel and operations management, billing and insurance, financial management, and strategic development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of hearing aid technicians, audiologists, and speech language pathologists to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care services.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure efficient and effective program operations.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, finance, and audiology leadership to review and manage device prices, ensure compliance with billing and insurance regulations, and develop policies and procedures for write-offs and appeals.
  • Manage multiple hearing aid manufacturer and supply vendor accounts to ensure proper billing and payment, negotiate pricing, and reconcile purchase order numbers for billing issues.
  • Develop financial goals and overall financial plan/budget for the hearing technologies program, provide financial oversight, and make recommendations to reduce expenses and deliver on financial goals and efficiencies.
  • Develop and manage the program's strategic direction, strategy, and vision, and make independent decisions about the future of the program to achieve strategic direction and maximize financial returns.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Reasonable progressively responsible clinical experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of University and departmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and knowledge of purchasing and billing practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience working with hearing aids and audiologists.
  • Knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures.
  • Use of Epic electronic medical record system.
