Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Athletic Trainer to join our team at the University System of New Hampshire. As an allied health professional, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to student-athletes, including prevention, clinical evaluation, and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence-based medicine to student-athletes, including prevention and health promotion, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, and therapeutic intervention.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs, including concussion protocols and return-to-play guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team physicians, athletic training staff, and health services to ensure comprehensive care for student-athletes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student-athlete health and injury information.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in athletic training.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) or eligible for certification.
  • Experience working with student-athletes in a collegiate setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
  • Experience as a head athletic trainer or in a leadership role.
  • Certification as a CPR instructor.
  • Experience working with collegiate athletic medicine programs.
