Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at MP Materials Corp. in Mountain Pass, CA. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, services, and supplies from suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP, industrial settings, and excellent analytical and communication skills. A bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred. We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, services, and supplies from suppliers.
  • Evaluating supplier quotes against market rates to determine the most desirable suppliers.
  • Negotiating commercial and legal terms in partnership with Legal/Business to facilitate contracts with suppliers.
  • Consistent communication with outside suppliers and internal parties.
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy by matching to Purchase Orders.
  • Provide technical and expert counsel to internal customers on topics such as purchasing policies, purchasing processes, Supplier sourcing, and SAP requirements for purchasing.
  • Assists Purchasing Supervisor in improving purchasing operations through processes, communications, and performance, utilizing industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SAP highly desirable.
  • Experience at an industrial, mining, or chemical processing facility highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years related experience required.
