Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Architect, you will:

  • Provide Technical Direction: Establish the technical vision for client systems and collaborate with engineering teams to implement this vision, ensuring high-quality solutions for stakeholders.
  • Enhance Software Engineering Practices: Develop and implement software engineering methodologies and tools that empower technical teams, including defining Git workflows, coding standards, and CI/CD processes.

Initial Focus Areas

  • Vendor Collaboration: Partner with procurement teams to select and onboard external vendors, establishing effective working relationships.
  • Team Development: Assist in planning and conducting interviews to build a strong internal technical team.
  • Technical Prototyping: Design and develop prototype solutions to validate concepts and guide development efforts.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading software engineering teams and mentoring team members on advanced technical concepts.
  • Large-Scale Application Knowledge: Experience managing large-scale web applications that serve millions of users and handle significant transaction volumes.
  • Proficiency in Modern Technologies: Hands-on experience with various programming languages and frameworks, including:
    • Backend: Python, Java, PHP
    • API Frameworks: REST, GraphQL
    • Frontend: React, Angular, Vue
    • Databases: MySQL, Postgres
    • Version Control: Git, Mercurial
    • CI/CD Tools and Automated Testing Frameworks
  • Vendor Engagement: Experience working collaboratively with external vendors to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Preferred Skills

While not required, the following experiences are advantageous:

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Knowledge of security controls and performance testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
