Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at Core-Mark. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficient flow of products through our distribution process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, to transport incoming freight to inventory and replenish pick slots.
  • Locate and perform count checks of incoming freight in the staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
  • Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day's work orders and rotate date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack.
  • Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage and remove empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area or receptacles.
  • Inspect empty pallets for damage, stack and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to the proper storage area and follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately and meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
Requirements
  • 1 year of warehouse experience using standup forklift required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to maintain the efficient flow of products through our distribution process.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
