Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team at People First Staffing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing general labor in our shop, working with metal and/or glass fabrication, assembly, and/or packaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor tasks in the shop, including loading and unloading materials, cutting and fabricating metal materials per specifications.
  • Work with limited supervision to meet established daily productivity goals and participate in 5S initiatives.
  • Operate manual and hand tools, and read shop drawings and blueprints to complete tasks.
  • Meet standard operating procedures and apply continuous improvement principles to improve processes.
  • May be required to drive a forklift, if certified.
Work Environment

As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be exposed to a fast-paced production environment with constant or intermittent sound of pitch sufficient to cause distraction. You will also be exposed to vibration when using power tools and equipment, and occasional exposure to chemicals, dust, and fumes.

Requirements
  • Ability to work in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
