About the Role:
Ferrero is a leading global confectionery company seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager Utilities to lead technical design and propose design solutions for Electrical utilities projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading complete projects, including electrical, civil, and other related activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead technical design and propose design solutions for Electrical utilities projects, including power generation, distribution, and lighting.
- Support purchasing in the tendering phase, leading the technical part and alignment of suppliers and contractors.
- Supervise site construction activities, managing technical details and coordinating vendors' activities, including health and safety.
- Lead cost management, timelines, and quality standards at every stage of the project.
- Prepare and conduct weekly standing meetings with internal teams and external vendors to plan and track deliverables.
- Create, submit, and track relevant technical documentation to ensure quality standards.
- Lead in providing equipment specifications and technical support to procurement and other business partners for best technical solutions.
- Work closely with health and safety, maintenance, quality, sustainability, and production teams from project start to project go-live.
- Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams and leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field required; Master's degree highly preferred.
- 7+ years of technical experience leading projects.
- Methodological background to enable effectiveness working in a flexible environment and on multiple fronts.
- Proven technical leadership and project engineering experience in development and implementation of complex utilities projects.
- Ability to work in a team and manage vendor relations.
- Problem-solving attitude and ability to relate with different functions (Technical Sourcing, Quality, Maintenance, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, ability to provide leadership to multiple disciplines in a large and complex organization.
- Proactive attitude, result-oriented, curious to learn, able to balance and execute on many initiatives in parallel.
- English fluent (Italian/German is a plus).
- Availability to travel across North America about 30%.
