LabCorp is seeking a skilled Cytology Laboratory Assistant to work in our high-volume, production-based environment in Tampa, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis in the Cytology department.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient data entry of specimen and patient information.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Perform minor instrumentation maintenance and troubleshoot any specimen-related issues.
  • Replenish test bench supplies as needed and complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience in a medical or laboratory setting.
  • Previous experience in a production environment is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately identify specimens and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed and pass a standardized color blindness test.
