Position OverviewAs a travel nurse in the CVICU, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with severe cardiac conditions. This position requires a dedicated professional who can handle the complexities of critical care nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Specialty: CVICU
- Discipline: RN
- Employment Type: Travel
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Valid TX Nursing License
- Minimum of 1 year of CVICU experience
- Proficient in managing vasopressors and inotropes
- Ability to interpret Swan Ganz readings
- Experience with ventilator management
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Familiarity with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT preferred
- Experience in post-open heart recovery or SICU is a plus
- EMR: Meditech
- Patient Ratios: Estimated 1:1 or 1:2
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue
- Equipment: Ventilators, Swan Ganz catheters, Flo Tracs, Impellas, IABP, CRRT, ECMO, LVADs
