Amazon Corporate Security is seeking an experienced Security Investigator to join its Prototype Security team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and leading security projects and programs to support Amazon's prototype device teams.
About the Role
This position will provide security investigation support to all Amazon consumer electronic devices prior to release to the general public and support the overall prototype investigations posture for the Amazon Devices & Services Organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather relevant information, and analyze findings effectively into device losses and unauthorized disclosures.
- Conduct security risk and vulnerability assessments as it relates to root cause errors identified in lost device investigations to design mitigation strategies on identified vulnerabilities to reduce further loss of devices and intellectual property.
- Write reports to show your evaluation and analysis of metrics collected to support risk-based prioritization of recommended solutions.
- Lead in the development of security education materials to include online training modules, and be willing to deploy and conduct in-person/virtual training sessions, employee outreach events, educational posters and handout material.
About the Team
The Prototype Security Investigations team (PSI) aims to mitigate unauthorized intellectual property (IP) disclosure, prototype device loss and theft, and non-compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy. We reduce risk to Amazon IP, make informed decisions to decrease intellectual property loss, and support regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in conducting security, fraud, or insider threat investigations in the capacity to evaluate evidence, identify patterns, and draw logical conclusions to solve complex problems.
- 3+ years of experience using a case management system and data analysis software to investigate system failures, uncover root causes, and driving resolution.
- Naturally curious and tenacious to dive deep into issues to get to the root cause of the system failure(s).
- Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business.
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
- Investigations related professional certification.
- Certified in a relevant field such as CPP, CPI, CISM, or PMP.
