Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Possession of a valid Texas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license is essential.
- Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment, prior to independent patient care. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required within 90 days of employment.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
- This is a full-time position with Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
- Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $130,000, with additional RVU bonuses based on experience.
- A comprehensive benefits package is included, featuring a $1,000 CME allowance and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the general oversight of a licensed Physician, the Advanced Practice Nurse delivers both chronic and minor acute care to patients at the Rural Health Clinic, ensuring the availability of essential health services in underserved areas.
- Adheres to established protocols in compliance with federal regulations governing Rural Health Clinics, under the supervision of a licensed Physician in Texas.
- Engages in the formulation, implementation, and periodic assessment of clinic policies and procedures.
- Provides patient care aligned with established guidelines.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the diverse needs of patients, adapting care to their age, physical condition, emotional state, cultural background, and religious beliefs.
- Refers patients to specialized services when necessary.
- Maintains electronic health records in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Responds promptly to critical test results and patient inquiries.
- Collaborates with clinic leadership to meet quality measures and compliance standards.
- Participates in readiness activities for regulatory surveys, ensuring departmental compliance.
- Maintains an updated CAQH profile as required.
