Government Jobs is seeking a skilled Transportation Worker 2 Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our District Equipment Shop, you will be responsible for performing full-level repairs and preventative maintenance on transportation vehicles and highway equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform full-level repairs and preventative maintenance on transportation vehicles and highway equipment
- Minor overhaul of gasoline or diesel-powered equipment engines
- Vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting for repairs
- Replacement of motors, belts, seals, bearings, blades, brakes, tires, and making minor mechanical repairs
- Routine services in both the field and at the garage
- Drive equipment after repairs to test operations
