Job Title: Transportation Worker 2 Mechanic

Government Jobs is seeking a skilled Transportation Worker 2 Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our District Equipment Shop, you will be responsible for performing full-level repairs and preventative maintenance on transportation vehicles and highway equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform full-level repairs and preventative maintenance on transportation vehicles and highway equipment
  • Minor overhaul of gasoline or diesel-powered equipment engines
  • Vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting for repairs
  • Replacement of motors, belts, seals, bearings, blades, brakes, tires, and making minor mechanical repairs
  • Routine services in both the field and at the garage
  • Drive equipment after repairs to test operations
