Position Overview

We are seeking an all-source intel analyst to join our team at USSPACECOM J2/JIOC in the Colorado Springs area. The ideal candidate will pay attention to detail, enjoy conducting research, and take the initiative to discover new focus areas for in-depth analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain national security issues and developments.
  • Provide all-source analytic support to collections, operations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.
  • Structure analysis based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction. Engage and follow through with analysis and production requirements.
  • Collaborate and work with DEFSMAC and NASIC on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
  • Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence. Contribute PowerPoint inputs for senior leader briefings.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with CI poly, or willingness to obtain a CI poly if not currently in possession of one.
  • Three years of all-source intelligence experience and a bachelor's degree or seven years of experience without a bachelor's degree.
  • Successful Completion of Pre-Employment Background Investigation required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Desired Experience: At least 8 years of experience conducting analysis with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
  • Desired Education: Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Experience/familiarity with DIA production guidelines and dissemination processes.
  • Experience/familiarity with USSPACECOM or components and the space mission.
