Job Title: Proppant Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Proppant Logistics Coordinator to join our team at BJ Energy Solutions, LLC.

Job Summary:

The Proppant Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the flow of logistics related to frac sand. This includes developing plans for equipment movements and material shipments, researching alternatives for shipping and expediting materials, and identifying and resolving problems or issues to ensure efficient operations with on-time deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day domestic shipments, both internally and externally with third-party freight vendors.
  • Develop plans for equipment movements and material shipments to assure on-time delivery while minimizing total cost.
  • Research alternatives for shipping and expediting materials between locations.
  • Identify, assess, and resolve problems or issues to ensure efficient operations with on-time deliveries.
  • Manage changes or cancellations to deliveries efficiently to reduce total job cost.
  • Participate in pad mobilization/de-mobilization plans, pre-frac meetings, and any other internal meetings to ensure job readiness.
  • Manage the development of all logistics activities from purchase requisition to close-out of purchase orders, including requests for quotes as needed.
  • Resolve invoice and/or payment issues related to purchase orders.
  • Focus on cost savings and avoidance during project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide support for logistics for major equipment and material movements.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide input in developing new and more effective processes for tracking, measuring, reporting, and analysis of logistics operations.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation operations.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes and concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and active listening skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple requests at once.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Exceptional data entry and computer skills to streamline operations.
  • Experience with integrated purchasing and inventory business systems.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, judgement, and decision-making abilities.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems.
  • May be required to travel to BJES districts or Supplier facilities.
Work Environment/Physical Abilities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; reach with hands and arms, manage and lift up to 30 pounds, and maneuver mechanical equipment in a confined space. The vision requirements include close vision, far vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
