Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment, including Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMIs).
  • Perform preventative maintenance, following written schedules and procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues, using advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Assist with the assembly of mechanical device startups and complete systems according to blueprints and written/verbal specifications.
  • Communicate with vendors and order materials, machine components, and parts.
  • Keep records, schedules, and coordinate calibration services with production management as needed.
  • Provide tasks and project status reports to Automation management.
  • Generate and follow up Purchase Orders (POs) and Expenditure Request (ERF) as needed.
  • Maintain and organize spare parts inventory.
  • Create preventive maintenance programs to optimize and maintain equipment.
  • Train production operators/employees as appropriate for set-ups, operation of equipment, etc.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of experience in the Automation/Engineering field performing maintenance on industrial/commercial equipment, or related work.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring, and operating principles of motors.
  • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as electric motors, pumps, mixers, valves, PLCs, HMIs, Pneumatic Systems, Flowmeters, Level & Temperature Transmitters, and other mechanical devices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
