Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at a respected acute-care hospital near Brownwood, Texas. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound machines to capture clear and precise images for diagnostic purposes. Your expertise will be essential in assisting physicians and radiologists in diagnosing medical conditions and informing treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Preparation:
Position and prepare patients for ultrasound exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
Equipment Operation:
Skillfully operate ultrasound machines to capture clear and precise images for diagnostic purposes.
Image Assessment:
Review and evaluate ultrasound images to assist in diagnosing medical conditions and inform treatment plans.
Documentation:
Keep detailed and accurate records of patient histories, procedures, and diagnostic findings.
Team Collaboration:
Work in coordination with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare providers to review results and optimize patient care.
Equipment Maintenance:
Oversee the proper functioning and upkeep of ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
Patient Communication:
Educate patients about the procedure, answer their questions, and provide post-exam care instructions.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiology or Ultrasound program.
At least 1 year of professional ultrasound experience.
ARRT or ARDMS certification.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Licensed by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) or ARDMS.
Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
