Position Summary

We are currently seeking a PC Systems Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to our users, ensuring the efficient operation of IT systems.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This position is non-remote, with relocation incentives available.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage support requests for users within the Training Management Directorate (TMD).
  • Provide updates to Senior Leadership on project status and ongoing tasks.
  • Deliver help desk support, identifying issues and offering temporary solutions when necessary.
  • Assist users with inquiries and provide technical support for PC systems, hardware, software, and standard applications.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC/server hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Maintain specialized software, including setup, file structure development, and documentation of procedures.
  • Establish and implement organizational standards for information systems.
  • Lead multiple projects, offering expertise and technical guidance throughout the planning and implementation phases.
  • Coordinate with the local Network Enterprise Center for support services.
  • Provide on-call support during non-core hours for urgent issues or scheduled maintenance.
Qualifications
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or five (5+) years of experience in desktop support with a solid understanding of computer science principles, or an IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Experience in SharePoint site administration and development is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Tier 3 Secret Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
