Job Summary

We are a leading central reference laboratory, specializing in the field of anti-infectives. Our services cater to the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and biotech industries, supporting clients in their fight against infectious diseases.

About the Role

The Scientific Laboratory Associate is responsible for assisting the IHMA laboratories with daily tasks in general and molecular laboratories, as well as analytics product development. Duties may vary based on level of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately accession and scan new shipments
  • Verify requisition forms
  • Process and set up cultures and isolates
  • Retrieve and replace isolate vials from freezers
  • Subculture isolates
  • Inoculate and freeze repository vials; maintain freezer logs
  • Inoculate susceptibility panels using AIM inoculators
  • Assist in general laboratory preparation, including labeling, restocking supplies, autoclaving, and disposing of biohazard waste
  • Support panel production as needed
  • Perform duties accurately according to established IHMA protocols; document all deviations from standard protocols
  • Organize work according to laboratory priorities and complete assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Contribute to other laboratory duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • Able to work accurately with minimal supervision

Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 per annum (estimated), depending on qualifications and experience.
