Satellite Imagery Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Imagery Analyst to join our team at FedGeek. The successful candidate will provide scientific satellite remote sensing analysis to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) Satellite Analysis Branch (SAB).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide analysis of satellite imagery, integrated with ancillary datasets, to create briefings and products that enable users to mitigate disasters and environmental hazards.
- Examine and analyze satellite imagery to support SAB operations.
- Participate in onsite training and certification by current staff.
Requirements:
- Experience in physical meteorology, remote sensing, oceanography, computer programming, and basic Linux fundamentals.
- M.S. or equivalent experience in meteorology, oceanography, remote sensing science, GIS, or similar areas.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and timely.
- Ability to work well independently and in a team setting.
