Compensation:

2024 Per Contact Hour:
Less than a Master's Degree: $1,027.00
Master's Degree and Above: $1,066.00

Position Overview:

As an adjunct faculty member, you will provide instruction that aligns with the college's strategic objectives and assess student progress to support their educational aspirations.

Required Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Anthropology or a related field, including 18 graduate credits in Anthropology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching in a community college setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Instruction Delivery:

  1. Conduct assigned classes and/or laboratory sessions.
  2. Develop lesson plans.
  3. Provide a comprehensive course syllabus, including grading criteria, attendance policies, classroom conduct expectations, course outline, and contact information.
  4. Confirm student enrollment and submit grading records.

Student Evaluation:

  1. Maintain accurate records of student performance.
  2. Offer timely feedback to students.

Student Support:

  1. Guide students to appropriate support services.
  2. Accommodate students with special needs.

Additional Duties:

Perform other responsibilities as assigned that relate to the job description.

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary, involving occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs and extended periods of sitting.

Visual Requirements:

Close visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as computer work and assembly.

Work Environment:

Typical office or administrative setting with moderate noise levels.
