Anesthesiologist Opportunity in Southern Ohio

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team at a top-rated hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with our experienced anesthesiologists and provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $266,756 per year, plus additional compensation for experience. This includes a base salary range of $266,756, with opportunities for overtime pay, evening differential, weekend differential, and on-call premium pay. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
• Vacation time: 232 hours PTO
• Continuing education: 5 days PTO and up to $5,000 for CME/books & journals
• Deferred compensation: 457b plan, allowing for tax-free contributions up to the IRS limit of $19,500 per year
• Retirement/savings plan: 403b plan, with matching contributions from SOMC up to 2% of base pay
• Moving expense reimbursement: $10,000 paid to a moving company
• Malpractice insurance coverage: $1,000,000 per claim/$3,000,000 aggregate
• Health insurance: provider pays small premium, deducted from paycheck
• Liquidated damages: 70-mile non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year's salary
• Pay for call program (CERP)
• Bonus incentives: up to 30% of salary
• Student loan reimbursement: up to $80,000 over 8 years
• Sign-on bonus: 15% of base salary, forgiven over 2 years
Job Requirements
This CRNA position requires:
• A valid certification as a CRNA
• Current licensure in the state of Ohio
• Ability to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
Work Schedule
The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with possible extensions past 3:30 p.m. for surgery add-on cases. Staffing includes 7 anesthesiologists and 18 CRNAs, with a call schedule of 1:9, averaging 3-4 calls per month. Weekend call is Friday 7:00 a.m.-Monday 7:00 a.m., with first call post day off. The pay for call (CERP) program is also included.
Clinical Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including general anesthesia, thoracic, vascular, OB/maternity, ENT, ophthalmology, ortho, and pediatrics. The case load depends on the room and may include assisting in cardiac procedures.
