Job Summary:

This is an entry-level position that requires no experience. We offer paid on-the-job training.

As a Streetlight Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for managing routes, driving from location to location using a bucket truck, and troubleshooting street light outage tickets. You will also be expected to perform work from a bucket truck to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage routes and drive from location to location using a bucket truck
  • Troubleshoot street light outage tickets
  • Perform work from a bucket truck to install and maintain streetlights and related equipment
  • Communicate with public and private property owners to inform them of the work to be performed

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to safely enter and exit the aerial device and rear-end of the bucket truck
  • Meet and maintain weight restrictions for bucket trucks as identified by the truck manufacturer
  • Able to pass a DOT physical to obtain a DOT medical card

Work Environment:

This position requires working around hazardous equipment and near energized parts or equipment. You will also be exposed to excessive noise from machines and other equipment with proper hearing protection.

Travel Requirements:

This position may require occasional travel outside of our area to perform emergency storm work.
