We are seeking to hire a Junior Civil Engineering Associate to join our dynamic team. Ideal candidates should possess a keen interest and relevant experience in land development design, public infrastructure engineering, and/or hydrological and hydraulic modeling for stormwater and flood control. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution is mandatory. Preference will be given to those with Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States.

As a Junior Civil Engineering Associate, you will collaborate closely with our senior engineers on a variety of projects encompassing land development and public infrastructure, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, as well as essential public works such as sewer systems, water supply, and storm drainage systems. Responsibilities may include overseeing junior staff, utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting, performing grading and earthwork calculations, conducting hydrology and hydraulics assessments, and liaising with public agencies and other consultants.

Key Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in land development and/or public infrastructure design within California.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience in hydrological and hydraulic modeling is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.

The software tools you will utilize in this role include AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-Storm, and WaterCAD Version 8i.
