Music Educator

We are seeking a qualified Music Teacher to join our team at North Panola School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a quality learning environment that fosters the development of our students.

1. Teaching and Instruction: Meet and instruct assigned classes in the designated locations and times, planning a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
2. Classroom Environment: Create a conducive learning environment that is appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students, making adequate preparation for all classes and showing written evidence of preparation when requested.
3. Student Guidance: Encourage students to set and maintain high standards of positive classroom behavior, guiding the learning process toward the achievement of learning goals and benchmarks.
4. Assessment and Evaluation: Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis, providing progress reports in a timely manner, and diagnosing learning disabilities as needed.
5. Professional Development: Assume personal responsibility for maintaining and improving professional competence, attending staff meetings, serving on staff committees, and participating in in-service training and other professional development activities.

The salary and work year are determined by the Board, and performance will be evaluated by the Principal in accordance with the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
