About the Role

The Manager, Sterile Processing is a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sterile processing department. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the sterile processing team to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments and equipment.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with the infection prevention department to ensure adherence to high-level disinfection practices and training programs.
  • Work closely with the biomedical department to manage instrument and equipment repair processes.
  • Coordinate with offsite clinics to ensure proper handling, decontamination, reprocessing, and distribution of instruments and equipment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
  • Five years of progressive responsibility in a healthcare setting.
  • Three years of leadership experience, including leading teams and/or projects.
  • Central Sterile Processing certification (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) must be achieved within one year of hire.
Work Environment

This role is based in a climate-controlled department setting with daily movement throughout the facility. The Manager, Sterile Processing will interact with department members and other healthcare providers.
