Aquatics Instructor Position

We are seeking a dedicated and customer service-oriented individual to join our team as an Aquatics Instructor. As a key member of our Recreation Department, you will be responsible for designing, instructing, and leading aquatic programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach private lessons and group classes for various aquatic programs, catering to beginner to advanced students.
  • Maintain knowledge of specific methodologies and practices for participant education and utilize techniques and progressions to ensure a quality product.
  • Develop class and progression curriculums and lesson plans, monitoring swimming skills and techniques for proper execution and safety.
  • Respond to questions and inquiries from parents regarding their child's progress and aquatic programs.
Requirements:
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Hold Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications.
  • Obtain Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Current American Red Cross WSI Certification (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One or more years of aquatics instructional experience.
  • One or more years of customer service experience.
  • American Red Cross WSI Instructor Trainer or equivalent.
Work Schedule:

Primary shifts include varying evening shifts beginning at approximately 4:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings. Flexibility is required, with occasional work on early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
