Internship Program OverviewOur Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation.
Role SummaryAs an Industrial Engineering intern, you will work closely with our engineering team on projects that drive standardization and efficiency across multiple GF factories. Your responsibilities will include data analysis and problem-solving to find opportunities that improve capacity modeling, reduce operating costs, improve cycle time, or identify efficient factory space utilization.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze factory performance metrics, such as OEE, throughput, and cycle time
- Simplify Industrial Engineering Capacity Processes
- Identify and support cost savings opportunities
- Document improved processes
- Provide code to manage sets of data
- At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Industrial Engineering or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
- Prior internship or co-op experience in Industrial Engineering or related Manufacturing operations
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Data analytical skills to simplify large amounts of data
