Job Summary

Community First Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Systematically assess and identify patient and family needs from admission.
  • Utilize patient assessment findings and clinical judgments to safely perform CCL procedures.
  • Provide pre, intra, and post CCL procedural care and monitoring of the patient.
  • Act as a circulating nurse while performing CCL procedures and administer various drugs.
  • Prepare room and position patient for various procedures.
  • Identify cardiac rhythms, abnormal ranges, and appropriate interventions.
  • Demonstrate competency recording procedures on the hemodynamics system.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols.
  • Review the plan of care and consult with the physician and other healthcare providers.
  • Document care per documentation standards into EMR or other charting system.
  • Provide patient/family education as needed.
  • Perform PICC Line insertions as requested.
  • Participate in on-call schedule and on-call procedures as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current Illinois License.
  • BLS/ACLS.
  • RCIS preferred.
  • Cardio-Vascular Nursing Certification required within 2 years of employment.
  • 1+ years experience highly preferred.
  • EMR: EPIC preferred.
