POSITION SUMMARY:

The instructor will deliver instruction on subject-specific grammar, spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary, and composition. They will guide students in subject-specific discussions and teach them about the literature, culture, and history relevant to the subject matter.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Developing engaging lesson plans; organizing classroom activities to inspire students; preparing visual aids; assessing homework and examinations; providing individual or group coaching to students.

Maintaining communication with parents and fellow educators regarding a student's academic progress; and performing additional tasks as assigned.

Delivering specific and timely feedback on academic performance, behavior, and work quality,
while ensuring a classroom environment that is structured and conducive to optimal student learning.



KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree or higher is required.

A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience is preferred.

Certification by the State of Georgia in Education T-4 to T-7 and specialization in the content area as mandated by the GaPSC.

Normal classroom/school environment.

Must be capable of standing and walking for approximately seven (7) to seven and one-half (7.5) hours daily. Light duty - Typically involves sitting at a desk or table; occasionally sitting, standing, or bending. Light lifting or carrying; twenty (20) lbs. or less.
