We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills, as well as a strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This role involves providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered, and collaborating with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing physician orders, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic tests, assessing and evaluating patient needs, and applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications as ordered and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that prioritize patient-centered care
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided and make adjustments as needed
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold a current NYS Registered Nurse license, have a minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, and be certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

A graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred is also required. Additionally, you must possess excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills, and knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques.

The estimated salary range for this position is $34.65 - $35.69 per hour, depending on experience.
